Hitting it off instantly, they had their first date after a week of talking and on their second date he knew she was THE one. After 11+ months he recreated their first date down to what he was wearing and even what was on tv that night. He had his guitar wrapped around him and he played a song he had written officially asking for her hand before getting down on one knee, using her full name, and asked her to marry him. SWOON

Who says dating apps are all bad? Not Kate and Brandon that is for sure. They met on Bumble! He was the last person she had matched with and decided he would be the last person she would talk to. Little did she know that would more true than she could have imagined.

Kate said that the most anticipated moment was the first look and getting to see each other in their wedding attire for the first time. “The first look made everything so real and gave us time to absorb the moment together”.

The flowers and greenery in the bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages were ivory hydrangeas, peach garden roses, peach ranunculus, ivory roses, privet berry, dusty miller, and ivory wrapped steams. Because they were getting married in the plantations garden they wanted to bring out the natural beauty of the flowers already there. The bridesmaids were in navy while the groomsmen were in dark grey. This allowed the flowers and garden to POP on their wedding day.

Can we talk about MY favorite moment for their day.. it was when Kate and Brandon told me that Kate’s grandparents were going to be the ring bearer and flower girl. There is nothing sweeter in my opinion and a special way to include the grandparents in the wedding day.

Kate and Brandon wanted a romantic, Spring garden wedding with a color palette of peach and navy with undertones of blush, ivory and light sparkled gold. Atlanta wedding venue, Cedar Plantation, offers a historic home with high ceilings, character, and details like fireplaces and chandeliers.

The couple complimented this garden vibe with centerpieces DIY’ed out of old card catalogs and stacked on vintage books that the couple had grown up reading. Some tables had card catalog planters while some tables had a simple, sweet spray of flowers but all tables had the vintage books. Votive candles and mint julep added the final touches.

On the fireplaces were big statement floral arrangements to match the 20’ ceilings. Greenery was used to bring the outside in and it was matched with blush and ivory flowers.

In the movie The Wedding Planner, Jennifer Lopez’s character tells the couple that the first dance is a chance to introduce their couples style to the world. For whatever reason, that stuck with me and I find it to be somewhat true. After you are introduced to the reception as a married couple this is a chance to show everyone you as a whole and not as individuals anymore.

Kate and Brandon really nailed their first dance and had me bawling! They took dance lessons to get ready for the big day! HERE was the song they danced to. Now, tell me you wouldn’t have cried, too.
