Located in the Historic West End of Atlanta, Monday Night Garage is the newest location for Monday Night Brewing focusing on sours, barrel aged and experimentation! The space is expansive and eclectic making it the perfect backdrop for a wedding day. From the brick, to the barrels, to greenery and let’s talk about all the mismatched chandeliers throughout - it was easy to see why Lenssa and Shelton fell in love with this space for their wedding day.
Lenssa and Shelton opted for the first look moment. (queue me jumping up and down in the background). There was so much space to explore and they wanted to use as much of it as we possibly could. In total, I believe we were able to visit 7 different spaces in and outside of Monday Night Garage including the barrel aging room.
The ceremony Lenssa and Shelton planned included a rose ceremony for their Mothers, and a sand ceremony with the children. For the rose ceremony, Lenssa and Shelton each presented their own Mother with a rose at the beginning of the wedding ceremony. For the sand ceremony, Lensaa, Shelton, and the two children each had a different color sand representing that person that they mixed into a vase. From the sand ceremony the family, as a whole, processed up the aisle. As one unit. As one family.
For their wedding reception, friends and family made a video personalized to their relationship with skits and photos. This video was such a fun way for their wedding guests to get to know why their friends and family are such an important part of who they are as a unit.
The fun didn’t stop there. There were toasts, cake cutting, the first dance with the newlyweds and their children and of course the bouquet toss and garter toss…. except this garter toss, well, I will let you see for yourself. But lets be honest, the majority of the time the bouquet toss and garter toss are the most fun to watch. All the excitement mixed with the “fight” makes for a fun time.
And for the grand exit! Lenssa and Shelton had talked about sparklers, but also didn’t want to make their guests feel like they had to leave.. so! We grabbed a couple of sparklers and slipped away from the reception and created some great night photographs to end their wedding day.
**No wedding photographer or wedding photography gear was harmed in the making of this wedding gallery BUT one of the wedding photographers {cough cough} Betsy {cough} did indeed fall down.. It is important to mention the floor inside the venue has an area where the floor is a little uneven. We refer to this incident as, “the wedding where I ate shit” hahahahhahahaha. Betsy indeed said it was a must to add this in the blog post.
