This wonderful newly engaged couple wanted to do something a little different with their engagement photos, something winter like. After calling around to many different venues near and far and looking at schedules and watching the weather radar literally minute by minute, and 53 emails... we made some engagement beautiful images. Their couple style is so much fun, so loving and just as real as they come.
Luckily, when we did each location it really WAS winter like. With weather in Georgia you literally can never tell from day to day what the weather will be like. One day it will be 37 and cold, then the very next day it could be 60 and sunny. Like I said, the weather radar was watched minute by minute.. too much planning had went into these two location settings to chance it on too much rain or crazy bright sun. We actually beat the rain on the next session location by just mere hours.

Summerour Studio was kind of enough to have an open slot for us to visit the venue and photograph on their lovely grounds. The day was foggy! The fog made this wedding photographers dream come true. It created the perfect neutral tone so all the greens and colors on the grounds just POP! Not only did the colors pop, but these two planned their outfits perfectly to suit the wedding venue. This overcast gave the illusion of late fall into early winter.
For the second location they wanted something a little more casual, a little more fun, and a little more FESTIVE! Jane had me hooked from the moment the words engagement photos at a Christmas Tree Farm were spoken. Who doesn't want to frolic around a Christmas Tree Farm and take amazing photos?! Well, I guess if you aren't a wedding photographer you might not have the same reaction, but you if you know me I am sure you can imagine my reaction! And for those of you who don't know me... my reaction was that of a child on Christmas morning. Full of excitement, smile ear to ear and giddy to get the session going.

We have so much fun exploring Minters Farm and making our own little set to photograph in. There was so much property and classic cars and ideas to consider. With addition of the Christmas ornaments and mistletoe the options were endless. They really came prepared with ideas! Oh and a little tiny ladder. You would be surprised at how much one single little prop can change the entire look of the session. Had the ladder not been included would it still look and feel the same playfulness? Probably not. Would the tree been as cute without the ornaments on it? Nope. Notice that there wasn't a lot of props included, but less is more. You don't have to spend tons of money on props for your session. They borrowed that ladder from a neighbor, the ornaments are from their very own tree (which makes it even more special), and the mistletoe too!
Next Summer the wedding takes place on a VINEYARD. A VINEYARD, Y'ALL.
