When Holly asked me if I travel for weddings, of course, my response was Y E S! Because Holly and Adam’s wedding would be in Charleston we racked our brains to come up with an engagement session location that was travel friendly for me and something a little different for them. After much googling, we found Savannah Rapids Pavilion. The location looked really cool, but not knowing anything about it I emailed and asked questions. Once we got the OKAY, we were on our way. This location we chose for the engagement photos was literally in between us!

This engagement session was an adventure for us all which was really cool. We really got a chance to hang out and explore this new location. Holly came to me as a referral, so I knew her and Adam were going to be awesome people and they trusted me enough to drive an hour to get to this location and trusted me even more to make amazing engagement photos in a place I have only see on the internet.

On our journey around this massive park, we heard water like waterfalls. Of course we heard water because the whole place was surrounded by water… but it was like running rushing water. Upon further inspection we found what we suspected - WATERFALLS!

While taking in the gorgeous falls we then noticed someone fishing down by the actual falls. So naturally we had to inspect and see if we could safely get down there! SPOILER ALERT - WE DID!

There was a smallish little hill we had to climb down and then it was the best spot with the best light!

Yep! Sure did make them take their shoes off. Yes, I did make them get in the water. But don’t worry, I got barefoot and got in the water, too. How could we not?! The little find was such a nice find and a fun way to end the engagement session (not that the whole engagement session wasn’t fun, right Adam). Haha.

Holly and Adam were due to get married at this amazing wedding venue in Charleston with all their awesome friends and loving family by their side April 25, 2020, but as we all know COVID-19 was a new situation we all were dealing with world wide. Their wedding is postponed until October 31st, 2020 and I got permission from Holly to wear my Hocus Pocus Halloween shirt! I am just so excited to still be able to celebrate with them. They really do deserve all the happiness as do all the couples having to make hard choices right now about their wedding dates. Holly is on our front lines as an ER nurse. Thank you to all those couples on the front lines making sure we are all safe.

All of my Spring and a few of my Summer couples have all handled this whole messy situation with grace and I am so honored to be apart of their wedding team. The important piece of information to remembered is hat you all will be married at the end of the day. It may not have looked exactly as you planned and hoped - but your married and that is all that really matters.
